Getting Support

Rely on support groups and counseling.

Problem gambling is difficult to overcome, but you don't have to do this alone! There are many resources (virtual and in person) that provide extra support during treatment.

Things to remember when you are getting support for problem gambling:

  1. Everyone is different. Find coping skills and resources that work for you.

  2. Find balance. If you aren’t ready to stop gambling completely, then find ways to balance your lifestyle with healthy relationships and activities.

  3. Use your support group whenever you need them! When you feel yourself slipping into problem habits, reach out to a family member, friend, or sponsor who supports your overall health and wellbeing.
